central spot with easy access to charming local attractions
I recently enjoyed my stay here, especially the friendly atmosphere in the nearby Hathersage Social Club and the fresh, delicious lunch options at George's, both just a few steps away for a pleasant walk after exploring the area. as a solo traveler, I appreciated the spacious room that had everything I needed for a comfy stay, though there was some room for improvement with the towels feeling a bit hard.

The breakfast spread was absolutely brilliant, with loads of choice to fuel me up for a day of hiking! Plus, the evening grub had a great twist with a Chinese menu added, talk about a culinary adventure! The staff were friendly and went above and beyond.
On the flip side, meal times felt a bit tight. an earlier brekkie would’ve been ace.

Had an awesome time with friends. We explored the 17th Century Hall in Eyam and also enjoyed a fun day at a nearby amusement park. The staff was friendly, and the food was great. Don't miss out on the local brews, they are top-notch!
The parking situation could use improvement, as the signs were a bit hard to spot.

Lovely stay with pooch!
We had a nice couple of nights with our labrador in a comfy room. The bathroom was huuuuge, and the shower was awesome! The full English breakfast was tasty, but not enough fruit options. The only good view was of the car park, but the flowers outside cheered it up. maybe a bit too many pillows, haha.

The hotel had a charming atmosphere with friendly staff and exceptional breakfasts, including options like poached eggs. chaotic service during dinner led to a long wait for meals, and some dishes were undercooked, impacting the overall experience. The bar staff also seemed unwelcoming at times.
